Give users a quality offer, a good reason to visit your store or website. The offer can be something as simple as a e-coupon.

The offer should be posted on a landing page specific to the e-mail campaign. Your call to action shold be presented clearly on the landing page. Simply giving people information about your product or company generally is not enough to turn warm leads into sales.

What are the basic elements to e-mail campaign offer?

  1. Provide a quality offer. Customers are looking for bargains and discounts, especially in today’s tight market.
  2. Explain the offer clearly. Don’t make customers work to find the details or else they’ll simply abandon your site. 
  3. Develop a user-friendly landing page. Do not send customers to a generic webpage about your product, service or company.
  4. Include a phone number and response form on the landing page. Give customers a choice of how they respond to your offer. A simple web form makes it easy for them to contact you.
  5. Coupons make great offers. Allow customers to select from a variety of related products and services they can print out or order on-line.

The basics of traditional direct mail often apply to e-mail marketing as well. An offer is one of the key elements of any e-marketing campaign.
